AHN’s healthcare network provides managed care services to members enrolled in the Medi-Cal program in most Southern California communities. Today, AHN brings critically needed access to care to over 250,000 Medi-Cal members.

Who We Are

It all began with AltaMed Health Services (AltaMed). Since 1969, AltaMed has been eliminating disparities in health care access and outcomes by providing superior quality health and human services to Latino, multi-ethnic and often-overlooked communities in Southern California. AltaMed believes that everyone should be able to get the kind of care they need to grow healthy, regardless of who they are, where they come from, or how much they make. In addition to care through an integrated delivery system, AltaMed took on the added goal of global risk health care through innovative programs and services designed specifically for managed care through an affiliate relationship with AHN.

AHN delivers high-quality healthcare in a financially responsible manner through thoughtful partnerships with health plans and top-performing service providers to improve patient outcomes, inpatient and outpatient performance and improve quality and patient satisfaction. AHN offers a comprehensive approach to patient care by way of affiliation with AltaMed and with OmniCare Medical Group. Collectively, we put our best foot forward to produce optimal outcomes for patients.
